Guidelines
To ensure a fun and safe time for all Holiday Carts requests the following guidelines be followed at all times!
You must be listed on the rental contract in order to drive the golf cart.
You must be a minimum of 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to drive the golf cart.
Do not drive the golf cart if you have consumed alcohol. North Carolina driving laws apply.
Do not drive the golf cart on any roads with a speed limit above 35 mph.
Do not drive the golf cart off the road or on sidewalks.
Obey all traffic laws and signs.
Do not charge overnight.
Charge the cart before the red indicator light comes on.
Call 911 in case of an accident and follow the handout guide.
Know where you can go!
Not all roads are available for Golf Carts to drive on in the Town of Oak Island. This map gives an island of where you can and can not drive. For more direct information please visit the Town of Oak Islands website!
